“Ours is the only system in the world where one person, through the use of the legal system and a lawyer, can hold a business, a corporation or a person accountable for harm they caused.”

Laurence Stinson focuses on doing a very small part of the law exceptionally well. An aggressive, conscientious fighter for his clients, Laurence has spent his entire career as a trial lawyer. He believes personal injury trial work is a rewarding way to make a real difference in the lives of his clients.

Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Laurence graduated from Northern Arizona University in 1991 with a degree in philosophy. He worked as a ski guide and in the Alaska fishing industry. He then attended the University of Montana School of Law and received his Juris Doctorate in 1995. After passing the bar exam in Wyoming, Laurence moved to Wyoming and began his career as an insurance defense lawyer. In 1996, Laurence passed the bar exam in Montana. Working for insurance companies was not in the cards for Laurence and he shifted to handling Plaintiff’s cases.

Prior to forming Bonner Stinson, P.C. with Brad, Laurence was a partner in Bormuth, Freeman & Stinson LC, a law firm located in Cody. In 2000, Laurence had a case against Brad Bonner. A year later, Laurence and Brad formed Bonner Stinson, P.C., a law firm dedicated to representing people.

Laurence serves on the board of the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association. He has taught continuing education classes for trial lawyers. In 1998, Laurence was appointed by the Wyoming Supreme Court to the Permanent Rules Committee – Civil Division. The Wyoming State Bar has asked him to serve on the State Bar's Fee Dispute Committee as well.

Laurence enjoys spending time with his children. He is an avid mountain biker and also enjoys rock climbing, snowboarding, and motorcycling.
